Basic info and storyline of Vikings TV Series
Vikings is an Irish-Canadian historical drama television series that is currently airing on the History channel in the United States and Canada. The series was written and created by Michael Hirst (The Tudors, Camelot) who also serves as an executive producer along with John Weber (Reign), James Flynn (The Borgias), Sherry Marsh (Peeples), Alan Gasmer (To Appomattox), and Sheila Hockin (Penny Dreadful). Octagon Films and Take 5 Productions are behind the series. Season 1 of Vikings premiered on 3 March 2013 in the United States and Canada on the History channel. The current fourth season debuted on December 4, 2019.
The historical drama series is inspired by the sagas of Viking Ragnar Lothbrok, one of the better-known heroes of Norse mythology, and infamous for plundering England and France. The storyline of the Vikings portrays Ragnar (played by Travis Fimmel; The Baytown Outlaws) as a former farmer who becomes notorious after successfully raiding into England with the support of his family and fellow warriors: his brother Rollo (played by Clive Standen; Atlantis), his son Bjorn (played by Alexander Ludwig; The Hunger Games), and his wives—the shieldmaiden Lagertha (played by Katheryn Winnick; Bones) and the princess Aslaug (played by Alyssa Sutherland; Don’t Look Up). The series is filmed in Ireland.
Zenescope partnered with the History Channel to create a free Vikings comic book based on the famous TV series. It was first distributed at Comic-Con 2013 and by comiXology in February 2014. The comic was written by Michael Hirst himself.
Current season and renewals of Vikings
To avoid confusion, the series divided the season into two parts, as it did in previous seasons. So the 10th episode was not a season finale, and the next episode does not belong to the 7th season. The series will continue its 6th season with the 11th episode.
The 6th season of the series consists of 20 fourty-minute episodes divided into two 10-episode episodes. So this means that we will watch 10 more episodes in season 6. There is no need to mention any confirmation news, the series has not yet completed its 6th season.
When will Vikings season 6 episode 11 come out on History?
The series was broadcast in two parts in the last 4th and 5th seasons. When we analyze the release dates of the previous season and the predictions, we can easily say that the series will return to the screens in early December 2020, although there is no official statement yet.

Will season 6 after the second 10 episodes, be the final season?
