Will there be a third season of Kono Oto Tomare !: Sounds of Life?

The broadcasters or the studio have yet to renew the series for a third season. Platinum Vision is working on the Crunchyroll-licensed anime “Ramune Mysterious Disease Specialist” which will be released next year. However, no announcement has yet been made for the third season of “Kono Auto Tomare”. This is a situation we are used to in anime series. Sometimes we can see a new season years later. It is possible to evaluate whether the series will have a season 3 under a few parameters; source materials and popularity.

Manga Status of the anime

Kono Oto Tomare!: Sounds of Life is adapted from the manga written by Amyu, as we mentioned at the beginning of the article. The manga series, which started to be published in August 2012, was featured in Jump Square magazine. There are 22 volumes for the manga series that has been published since 2012. According to some viewers, the manga series is much better than the anime. Manga chapters continue to be published monthly, and chapter 97 was published at the time of writing.

26 episodes of the anime cover 54 episodes of the manga. So there is enough source material for approximately another 26 episodes. This is one of the most important criteria for seeing a new season of the series, and the result is gratifying. Also, if you feel like you can’t wait for the anime, you can continue the series from Chapter 55 of the Manga.

Popularity and Reviews

Another critical factor is how much appreciation the first two seasons received. And more importantly, how much it is watched. Of course, there are financial reasons behind this. If the anime gets enough views, it will give the green light for a third season. The anime’s ratings so far have been above average. We can see this also in IMDb and Myanimelist scores. On the other hand, the anime’s popularity score is 63.5% according to our metrics. This score is not enough to say good or bad; we can say right in the middle. To see other anime popularities.

To summarize, we think the anime deserves a third season, and we believe there will be a third season. According to some rumors, a new season of the series will arrive in late 2021. However, there is no renewal yet and no definite leak. We will keep you informed of the updates.
