According to the news from the official website of By the Grace of the Gods, on June 4, 2021, the anime has been renewed for a second season. The new season of the anime will take place exactly three years after the first season ends when Ryoma and Eliaria promised to meet again. Funimation has also announced this good news on its blog and announced they will stream the new season.
The light novel written by Roy and illustrated by Ririnra has been published since 2017. The last volume of the light novel, which reached 11 volumes in total, was published on December 18, 2021. The By the Grace of the Gods anime was adapted from the first 3 volumes of the light novel series.
