Jujutsu Kaisen made a strong introduction to the anime world. The anime adaptation, released in 2021, has succeeded in satisfying the aspirations of anime lovers. However, success is not a coincidence. We have seen that MAPPA studio has previously taken over the role of the creative studio for many successful adaptations. The director of the series is Sunghoo Park, who also directed The God of High School series. Hiroshi Seko (Banana Fish, Dorohedoro, Mob Psycho 100) takes place in the anime screenplay. It is wondering whether Jujutsu Kaisen will have a second season right now. Previously, we evaluated the possibility of a second season under some key factors and shared it in our article here. Now, we have prepared a special list for fans who enjoy anime and search for anime series like it. Some may be enough to satisfy their longing for Jujutsu Kaisen season two. Let’s start.
1/6 • Demon Slayer (2019)
Rating: 8,60 on Myanimelist and 8,7 on IMDb

Season 2 Renewed!
We can say the most impressive point for Demon Slayer is that the animations. It offers you a full visual feast while watching anime. The interspersed Asian culture adds a different color. Traditional Asian motifs in both songs and attack genres are incredibly well suited to anime. Those who are familiar with Japanese culture will have a better understanding of what we mean. As for the story;
Since his father’s death, the task of supporting the family has been on Tanjirou Kamado’s shoulders. With poverty on a remote mountain, the Kamado family enjoys a relatively peaceful and happy life. One day, Tanjirou decides to go down to the village to earn some money selling coal. On the way back, it becomes night. 2/6 • Devilman Crybaby (2018)
Rating: 7,82 on Myanimelist and 7,6 on IMDb
Genre: Action, Dark fantasy
A manga Devilman was first drawn by Go Nagai in 1972. It was adapted to anime also in 1987. The Devilman Crybaby adaptation of Masaaki Yuasa that we’re going to talk about is a cropped version, although mostly parallel to that.
In a world where demons stall and seek a body, Akira, a weak and humble person, enters the world of demons by accident. If the will of a person captured by a demon is strong, the demon within him dies, and the person becomes a Devilman. Here Akira becomes one of them. Although he has incredible demon powers, he still has a tearful heart inside him. With this power, Akira ceases to be a prey and rises to the role of a hunter.
Anime is one of the bravest jobs of both Netflix and the industry. Its drawings have a striking and experimental style. That’s why it is very difficult to say anime, and we can even call it Japanese New Wave Animation because its style that goes beyond the mold is noticeably different from other works of the genre. For example, heads breaking off one after the other, extreme sexuality is a stark contrast to the customs of anime. In this respect, the atmosphere and technique it creates is a unique choice for a world that is already crazy and has nothing to do with ours. Even though it was disturbing at first, it is impossible not to appreciate it after getting used to it.
3/6 • Dororo (2019)
Rating: 8,20 on Myanimelist and 8,4 on IMDb
Genre: Action, Dark Fantasy, Historical fantasy
Although Dororo actually contains fantastic elements, it does not go to any extremes and is more prominent with scenes, characters, and realism adapted from real life. Since it progresses in a bit of a dark reality flavor, if anyone is watching it, it will liken it to Violet Evergarden.
Dororo we are talking about is the updated version of 1969’s Dororo and Hyakkimaru anime series. With the remake of the series, the story gained something and something lost. Visual and narrative development has been organized and developed in accordance with today’s modern standards and rules. Although the number of enemies decreased, blood and violent elements increased. It is a beautiful anime with beautiful fight scenes. Although not detailed, it contains motifs from Japanese mythology and religion. The fast-flowing anime has received positive reviews from many viewers. It does not include empty episodes called a filler. Although it is a good anime, we think the Demon Slayer remained in its shadow in 2019.
